President Bola Tinubu’s administration (as of May 2026) has focused on sweeping economic reforms, including the removal of fuel subsidies, unification of foreign exchange rates, and a significant increase in non-oil revenue, which surpassed N20 trillion by August 2025. Key achievements include reducing the debt service-to-revenue ratio from 97% to below 50% and driving major infrastructure projects like the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway.
Subsidy Removal: Ended the longstanding petroleum subsidy to redirect funds toward infrastructure and critical sectors.
Foreign Exchange: Unified foreign exchange rates and stabilized the Naira against the US Dollar.
Revenue Generation: Achieved record-breaking increases in non-oil revenue, significantly improving the tax-to-GDP ratio.
Credit Upgrade: Received stable credit rating upgrades from international agencies like Fitch and S&P Global Ratings.
Debt Restructuring: Significantly reduced the debt service-to-revenue ratio and paid back legacy forex obligations.
Roads & Highways: Commenced over 440 major road projects, including the ₦15 trillion Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and the ₦13 trillion Sokoto-Badagry Superhighway.
Security Operations: Intensified efforts against banditry and insurgency, resulting in the neutralization of thousands of hostiles and the rescue of thousands of hostages.
The All Progressives Congress Support Groups Council (APC-SGC) is the officially recognised umbrella body responsible for coordinating, integrating, and strengthening all Support Groups affiliated with the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Established to harness the full potential of grassroots mobilisation, the Council serves as a strategic platform for unifying diverse volunteer networks, civil society actors, youth groups, professionals, community-based organisations and the diaspora community committed to the ideals and success of the APC.
